Literacy Volunteers of America — Prince William (LVA-PW) is gaining support from a local sorority chapter.
The Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Phi Kappa Zeta Woodbridge Chapter has donated $2,000 to the non-profit.
LVA-PW in Dale City, provides classes and tutoring for members of the Prince William County community, according to a release.
Deborah Abbott, the executive director, received the check from Deborah Smith-Shaw and Carolyn Everett on February 19.
The donation was from a “Bowling for Literacy” fundraiser the chapter hosted.
It will be used to assist low-income adults.
