Traffic control, alternating traffic patterns and lanes during concrete paving
DALE CITY – Weather permitting, the Dale City Truck-Only Safety Rest Area South at mile marker 154 along southbound I-95 just before Route 234/Dumfries Road (Exit 152) will have daytime concrete paving Thursday, June 19; Friday, June 20; Saturday, June 21; and Monday, June 23, through Friday, June 27, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day, but will remain open at all times, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
Paving crews will use traffic control and alternating traffic patterns and lanes within the truck-only rest area while the work occurs.
Drivers and pedestrians are reminded to use caution when traveling in active work zones. Be alert to new traffic patterns and limit distractions.
