Create strong passwords. Longer passwords and including a variety of letters, numbers, and special characters are better.

Don’t overshare on social media. Don’t take online quizzes that ask for personal information. Never post when you will be away from home for an extended period.

Use secure networks, especially for banking and shopping. When using public wi-fi, there is the possibility that others can see your activity.

Be wary of suspicious emails. If you are not sure who the email is from, don’t click on links or open attachments.

Keep software up-to-date, making it harder for hackers to get into your system.
