October is #CrimePreventionMonth. Here are a few tips for Personal Safety.
Stay alert! Know your surroundings and who is around you.
Don’t take shortcuts through tunnels, parking lots, or alleys.
Avoid dark areas; opt for well-lit (preferably daytime hours) and highly traveled areas.
Ditch the earbuds so you can hear what is going on around you.
Let someone know where you are and share your GPS location with them.
Most important, FOLLOW YOUR INSTINCTS! If something feels wrong, assume it is. Go to a safe area and call for help.
