Wreath Laying Ceremony at The National Museum of The Marine Corps

I attended a wreath laying ceremony at The National Museum of The Marine Corps and a listening session/ panel discussions by citizens who, unfortunately, played an active role in that day, 20 years ago. Every year on September 11th, we make the groundhog day statement: “where were you at that moment?”. Everyone of us can answer that question in great detail from the names, the smells around us, and the images we saw on television. One vivid memory for me was the silence from above. For the first time in our nation’s history, we grounded every plane that flew over American airspace. There is so much more I can say about that day. However, today is about 20 years later and the remembrance of every life we lost that tragic day. “All gave some, and some gave all”.
