NOVEC Coronavirus Update

NOVEC Announcement

Written By: NOVEC

Powering our community

NOVEC has a responsibility to meet the needs of our community and we are continuing to provide power to our customers. If outages do occur, our crews are ready to respond.

We are suspending electric service disconnections for customers

At NOVEC, we recognize the hardships that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) public health crisis imposes on our customers. Effective March 16, 2020, NOVEC is suspending electric service disconnections for nonpayment for 60 days. Please note that this suspension of electric service disconnections delays, but does not cancel, payment of outstanding balances.

Helping our customers online and by phone

For customers, this is a good opportunity to utilize NOVEC’s online services at novec.com. Choose from multiple payment options. Our automated telephone payment services can be accessed around the clock by calling (703) 335-0500 or toll-free at 888-335-0500. Customer care representatives are available Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

For all other parties that may need to interact with NOVEC employees, please reach out to your NOVEC contact directly — via phone or email. You can also contact our customer care representatives and they will be happy to assist you.

NOVEC’s response to Coronavirus

In recognition of the public health emergency surrounding the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), NOVEC urges customers to follow the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) prevention and containment recommendations. They include regular and thorough handwashing, disinfecting frequently touched surfaces, and keeping social distance of six feet or more from others.

The health and wellbeing of NOVEC employees also is of utmost importance, as they are the people who assist you. They, too, are urged to follow CDC’s recommendations, as well as stay home from work if they are iIl.

As NOVEC joins the vast effort to safeguard public health from coronavirus, customers can continue to count on us to provide reliable, economical and safe power.
